Crop Production

  • Maize and Sorghum: These grains are essential staples in Kwara State, and their cultivation is widespread. They form a significant part of the local diet and contribute to food security.
  • Cassava: Cassava is a major staple in Kwara State, serving as a source of carbohydrates. It is processed into various products such as garri and fufu.
  • Rice: Rice cultivation has gained attention in Kwara State, with efforts to increase local production and reduce dependence on imported rice. The state government has implemented initiatives to support rice farmers and improve processing facilities.

Livestock Farming
